Stroud Technical Solutions is a specialized provider of instrumentation & controls calibrations, engineering, staff augmentation, and consulting services focused on pharmaceutical and biopharma environments. STS brings more than 20 years of hands-on technical experience from over 30 pharmaceutical sites across the United States. We deliver full-lifecycle support from installation and startup through routine operations. Calibration Services
Process Equipment Calibrations
Routine and corrective calibrations for manufacturing process equipment in cGMP environments. Services cover biopharmaceutical, sterile filling isolator, laboratory, packaging, oral solid dose, and many other forms of production equipment. We ensure instruments remain accurate, reliable, and compliant so production can continue without interruption.
Utility Calibrations
Startup and ongoing calibration support for both clean and black utility systems. Clean utilities include WFI and WPU generation, storage, and distribution, reverse osmosis skids, vapor compression stills, clean steam generators, and clean gases. Black utilities such as HVAC, compressed air systems, cooling towers, chillers, and boilers. Calibrations are performed to maintain system performance and regulatory compliance.
Startup Calibrations
Comprehensive calibration support during equipment installation, mechanical completion, and system commissioning. We execute loop checks, verify instrument installation and configuration, perform initial calibrations on process, utility, and laboratory systems, and prepare equipment for validation and release to production. This ensures instruments are accurate and documentation is complete before the system is released for use.
Laboratory Calibration
Precision calibration services for laboratory and supporting equipment in cGMP and controlled environments. Coverage includes glass washers, autoclaves, bench-top scales and balances, centrifuges, biological safety cabinets and fume hoods, ovens, and temperature-controlled units (CTUs) such as incubators, refrigerators, freezers, and cryo-freezers. Calibrations are performed to maintain measurement integrity, support reliable analytical and process results, and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
Staff Augmentation
STS provides flexible staffing support that helps clients rapidly expand capacity during projects, shutdowns, startups, and periods of high demand. Engineering & Consulting Services
Engineering Document Control
Complete ownership and management of critical engineering documentation. Services include P&ID walkdowns and updates, engineering drawing management and revision control, change control authorship and execution for new or modified equipment, system impact assessments, and support for deviations and other GMP documentation. We partner with Quality to keep records accurate, traceable, and audit-ready.
CMMS Services
End-to-end support for computerized maintenance management systems. We collect equipment data during installation, onboard new assets into the CMMS, perform critical risk assessments, develop accurate work-order job plans and calibration templates, establish maintenance and calibration planning and scheduling processes, and provide project management for system improvements and data integrity initiatives. Our goal is reliable, usable CMMS data that supports efficient operations and compliance.
P&ID & Automation Changes
Hands-on management of piping and instrumentation diagrams and automation documentation. We maintain and update P&IDs for equipment and control systems, We can manage changes to control automation I/O lists, implement formal revision-control processes, and ensure documentation stays aligned with the as-built plant state.
Department Capabilities & Technical Training
Support for coordinating with external vendors and selecting and purchasing new instruments. We develop practical SOPs and QMS elements, train and mentor technicians on calibration techniques and troubleshooting, and provide structured knowledge transfer to ensure your team’s long-term success.
